Oil on the Louisiana shores

A gut-wrenching picture gallery on the oil from the Deepwater Horizon disaster reaching the Louisiana coast is available on the Big Picture. Don't watch it if you don't have a strong stomach. Meanwhile the people supposed to keep an eye on the drillers are partying with cakes inscribed "Drill, Baby, Drill" (I doubt the actual cake was as well punctuated as the NYT makes it seem). Sad, sad, sad.
