About Jao and this blog

I am a passionate photographer of mostly outdoor scenes. I love creating images that at once dazzle with color and on the other hand mystify. Often this involves being out at odd hours and braving cold and other weather conditions, just to get that shot with the nice light. Please visit my main photo gallery page and enjoy my multitude of images. At that page, you can find many landscape images for sale, all printed at superb quality by a professional lab. There are also some galleries with pictures of weddings all done for good friends. I thoroughly enjoy doing the latter and you'll see that I offer a quite unique perspective. My flickr page is a big stream of images.

In my day job, I work on my other passion - science, at the US' premier lab researching renewable energy. Opinions on this site are all my own and not my employer's.
